Martin Link is the driving force behind The Leaf People. Born in 1954, he grew up in Clifton, New Jersey and graduated from Montclair University in New Jersey with a B.A. in business, sales and marketing. Martin also attended the New York Academy of Dramatic Arts, and received additional training at H.B. Studios in NYC. He currently resides in New Jersey.

Martin admits that in his earlier days, he was somewhat of a risk taker – often living on the edge socially. He truly believes that one never stops growing spiritually and intellectually. He believes that the secret to happiness is to surround one self with good, positive people and to avoid negativity. Martin is a cancer survivor and to this day he says that cancer was a blessing to his life, allowing him to appreciate life as a treasure from God, giving him a new found appreciation of each day. He actively donates to AIDS and cancer research and to many organizations that promote tolerance, family values, and respect for nature.

"The Leaf People" is Martin's gift to the world. This story is for everyone who wishes to value their own self-worth, and who respect the rights of others to do the same. When all is said and done, those who can love, and accept love, have the greatest gift life can give. If you have an opportunity to help someone, do it!

A Message From the Author

It is my hope that the story of The Leaf People will inspire readers to live their daily lives with respect for family values, racial and multicultural unity and the environment. Living harmoniously with Nature and each other will enrich all of our lives, and make this world a safer, healthier and more peaceful place to live.

This change must start at home. Parents need to educate their children on these important issues. Children need positive reinforcement. Teaching loyalty, trust, and forgiveness to our selves and others can translate into acceptance and empathy. My hope is that this book can in some way contribute to that change - that The Leaf People will in some way help to influence the behavior of this generation – and future generations.

Sharing hope and love is the greatest gift in life. If we can live together as the trees and plants do, the world will be a better place. The message of The Leaf People is that the trees, plants, flowers and animals all grow together, and so do you.

Thank you for purchasing this book. We are confident that you will enjoy The Leaf People journey. Please share it with your friends and family.
